Friday Faves: Firebugs

Fire is fascinating.  At once necessary and dangerous.  Delicately beautiful and vigorously potent.  It lives and breathes.  It is no wonder that artist’s embrace its beauty and harness its power.  Take a look at these artists who are using their firepower for good.

Lady T, Daryl Bunn, Steven Shubert and Geoffrey Short’s work are all photographs. Etsuko Ichikawa’s work is actually done by drawing on the paper with molten glass, check out this video of her process.. it’s incredible! http://www.etsukoichikawa.com/gallery7.htm

Stephen Spazuk’s work is drawn with soot! Check out the websites of all these artists ( linked in the article ) for more info.
Thanks for your interest, glad you stopped by!

      Cheers,
      Lesley
