Friday Design Finds: Tie One On

2 Nov

An artsy scarf, that is!  Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a bonafide scarf junkie.  I wear them all year round and my favorite is a vintage silver crocheted scarf that my mom wore in the 70s.  It has such a bohemian, artsy air. Turns out I’m not the only artsy in love with the neck cloths.  Here are some wearable sculpture faves I’ve discovered lately!

Sabrina Scarf by Sonya Mackintosh on Artful Home

I’m so bummed to be living in the desert during prime scarf-sporting season!  Mr. Forager & I are headed up to Idyllwild tomorrow.. maybe I’ll be able to break out one of my faves.  Happy weekend!

They’re fantastic! I saw some reminiscent of the first and last when I was in Venice this time last year. Seeing as I live in the tropics I somehow restrained my urge to possess one, but I still think they are the most creative neck apparel I’ve seen in … well my lifetime 🙂

Glad you loved these as much I do! Living temporarily in the desert, I am itching to wear my scarves!

What a lovely line-up! Thank you for featuring my Terra Cotta Merino Wool hand-knit scarflette! Too bad the desert doesn’t get to experience all 4 seasons in full force! Autumn is such a magnificent time of year, including here in the Northeast. My warm weather-residing fans do love my cotton & silk designs 😉

It is too bad, Elena, but we hold on to the knowledge that we’ll be back in the Northwest for Fall 2013. And perhaps we’ll be making our way to the Northeast eventually! Would love to experience a true NE Autumn.

I like them all, but the first one stunned me. So unique and beautiful!

Right?! Don’t know if I would have the courage to pull it off but it’s amazing. Wearable sculpture!
